Falls Lake Commerce Center, owned by NWI Limited Partnership in Nashville Tennessee, just announced a major new development. Phase one of this prime 300 acre site at exit # 189, on I-85 will be 350,000 SF of prime distribution space in three buildings with an investment of over $20M. These new facilities will feature 30 foot clearance heights and tilt-concrete construction.

APU, Inc. has leased 150K SF in the Creedmoor Business Park building. This is an expansion for APU that will create about 25 new jobs for this wholesale distributor of maintenance auto parts.

Sante Fe Natural Tobacco Company has announced a $29M expansion of their existing facility in Oxford, North Carolina. The expansion will include a new warehouse and distribution center and will create approximately 30 jobs.

Granville County has made the short list for the National Bio- and Agro-Defense Project. Research at the high security lab would be designed to protect U.S. Agriculture, the food supply and public health from a bioterrorist attack involving foreign animal disease. The $450 million dollar project would create 400-500 jobs.

Revlon has announced a major project at its existing plant in Oxford, North Carolina. Revlon will invest $50M in improvements and upgrades to its process lines, equipment and telecommunications system. This plant is the largest Revlon manufacturing facility in the world and employs about 1800 people.

Oxford has been selected as the home of the Biofuels Center of North Carolina. The previous USDA tobacco research laboratory will become the focal center for innovative research in Biofuels. This new campus could thrust North Carolina into a leadership position in the development of alternative energy.

Carolina Academic Press has purchased the High
Price Warehouse on College Street in Oxford. They will relocate their
order fulfillment operations from Durham to Oxford. They will package,
ship and warehouse various academic books.
The company could employ about 30 people when in full operation.

CRL Marketing, Inc. is relocating from Suffern, New York to the Premier
Quilting Building on Industry Drive in Oxford, North Carolina. CRL Marketing
was founded in 1999 by Jesse and Cathy Lawrence. The company markets color
cosmetics and accessories under both the Jesse's Girl and Yakity Yak brands as
well as specializing in Private Label for mass merchandisers such as Rite Aid,
CVS and Walgreens. The new location in Oxford will act as a centralized
distribution center handling the entire United States and Canada.

Bailey Farms will construct a $2.5M packaging and distribution facility in the
Oxford Industrial Park on Knotts Grove Road near Oxford. Bailey Farms ships
over 28,000 cases of chile peppers every week, year-round to supermarkets from
Maine to Florida with their network of partners in Florida and North Carolina.
The company was started by Randy and his father Tom Bailey in 1989 and is now
managed by Randy and his wife Debbie.

The Granville Economic Development Commission announced that Fastbolt
Corporation has opened a new distribution facility in Granville County.
Fastbolt Corporation, a major hardware supplier distributes both military,
commercial and electronic hardware components.
The federal Oxford Tobacco Research Station property and facilities were
transerfed to the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services on
August 31, 2005. Plans call for continuing tobacco studies at the station and
efforts are also underway to expand the station's forestry research work. With
the addition of the federal property and facilities at the Oxford Tobacco
Research Station, the NCDA&CS will also focus on long-range plans to
develop a world-class research and biological control lab at the station, and
explore the possibility of public-private research opportunities.

Dill Air Controls Products, LLC, a newly formed
company, will locate in the former Lenox China Building in Oxford. Dill was
formerly Air Control Products, a division of Eaton Corporation in Roxboro,
North Carolina and was purchased by the Chinese companies, Shanghai Baolong
Industries Co. Ltd. and Zhongding Group Ltd. Dill manufacturers automotive air
valves and valve parts in addition to products for the U.S. Government, NASA,
and the aircraft industry. This great project will have a capital investment of
$10M and create 150 quality jobs.

Firstmark Aerospace has purchased an existing facility
on Telecom Drive in Southern Granville County and will relocate from Durham.
Firstmark manufactures and repairs precision electronic, electromagnetic and
mechanical components for the Aerospace and Defense industry. Firstmark has a
long history in avionics technology, producing high quality flight control
components for military, commercial and civil aircraft. The company has
excellent potential for future job growth and will further diversify the
manufacturing base in Granville County.

The GEDC announced that DBH Holdings, a Delaware
Company, has purchased the former APW Building near Creedmoor. This 160,000
square foot facility has been leased to CMP USA whose parent organization, CMP
Advanced Mechanical Solutions, is a privately held company located in Canada.
CMP will manufacture metal frames, cabinets and chassis that hold high-tech
electronic equipment and related items. Production is expected to begin in
February 2005, with plans to employ 150 people in two years.

CertainTeed, a leading manufacturer of roofing
materials, has announced an expansion of their existing facility in Oxford,
North Carolina. This $50M project could make the Oxford plant the largest
single producer of roofing shingles in the world. The new jobs created will
increase local employee numbers to over 300. CertainTeed is part of
Saint-Gobain, a French company that is a world leader in the manufacturing of
building products.

Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company is expanding their
manufacturing plant near Oxford by 20K SF. New equipment will be installed to
pack product in-house for shipment directly to Europe. This project will create
a capital investment of $4.5M. Santa Fe manufactures American Spirit brand
cigarettes and is a wholly owned subsidiary of R. J. Reynolds Holdings Inc.

Granville Pallet will expand their operations in
Granville County creating 15 new jobs with a capital investment of $1.5M. This
company is home owned and operated. Glen Watkins and his family have nurtured
this company for many years while building it into one of Granville County’s
major industries.

Inland Technologies, Inc., which is headquartered in
Fontana, CA will open their first east coast manufacturing facility in
Granville County. Inland Technologies is an industry-leading design and
manufacturing company specializing in tight tolerance plastic injection molded
components. They have leased existing space from Alaris Medical Systems to
begin operating this new facility. The total capital investment is around $4.5M
and it will create about 25 new jobs.

The GEDC announced that Curvemakers has purchased a
facility in Oxford and will relocate from Raleigh. CurveMakers is a specialty
manufacturer of curved millwork with their core business being curved moldings.
Their product is sold both nationally and internationally. The project
investment will be about $1M and create 25 jobs.

The GEDC announced that NT Techno, a Japanese auto
parts company, will construct a new manufacturing plant in Oxford. NT Techno
manufactures precision parts for automatic transmissions. This will be their
first facility in the United States. Phase One will create 50 highly skilled
jobs with a capital investment of $21M.

Construction has begun on a new Distribution Center
for Royal Home Fashions in Oxford. Phase One will be a $7.1M capital investment
and create 70 new jobs. Royal Home Fashions is a major manufacturer of high
quality home furnishing products.

The GEDC announced a new project by Lace Lastics in
Oxford. The company will upgrade production technology equipment. Lace Lastics
manufactures quality home furnishings. This $3.4 project will create 20 new
jobs.

DHHS Secretary Odom announced that a new John Umstead
Hospital would be located in Butner, North Carolina. The facility will replace
two aging mental hospitals, Dorthea Dix in Raleigh, and the present John
Umstead facility in Butner. This new $100M facility will employ about 1200
people.

The GEDC announced that Universal Leaf North America,
N.C., Inc. would upgrade their existing facilities in Oxford to process
products for the tobacco industry. This $IIM investment will create about 70
new full-time jobs.

The GEDC announced a major expansion by Sandusky/Athol
International in Butner. The Athol Division has been a part of Granville County
for many years and manufactures coated fabrics for the automotive, marine,
school bus, landau top, and mass transit industries. This 72K SF expansion to
their Coated Products Plant in Butner will house an additional production line
with space for two additional lines. This $6M project will create 75 new
manufacturing jobs with the potential for additional ones in the future.

The GEDC announced an expansion by Bandag, Inc..
Bandag is a major manufacturer of retreads for the trucking industry. They will
construct a new 132K SF distribution center in Oxford adjacent to their
existing manufacturing plant. This project represents and investment of $4M and
solidifies their important presence in Granville County.

would expand their existing warehouse in Creedmoor by 50K SF. This $1.8M
project will add to the tax base in Granville County.
