The Granville Economic Development Commission works to provide quality employment opportunities for our citizens while creating capital investment. We strive to serve our existing industries and recruit new companies to our diversified corporate base.

Granville Economic Development Commission

The Granville Economic Development Commission (GEDC) is a non-profit agency created by Granville County and the City of Oxford. Granville County appoints six board members and funds 2/3 of the GEDC budget, while the City of Oxford has three members and funds 1/3 of our budget. Each entity also has one ex officio member. The GEDC Board meets at 5:30 PM the second Monday in January, April, July and October or at which time a special meeting is required. The board members serve unselfishly while donating their time, energy and expertise to improve the economy of Granville County. Each member serves three-year terms. The GEDC office is located at 310 Williamsboro Street in Oxford, North Carolina. Office hours are 8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday.
